A woman has been sentenced to five years state prison, suspended, and five years probabtion as well as a requirement to serve 30 days in jail for one count of insurance fraud and one count of solicitation to commit insurance fraud. She had an auto accident in August of 2022. She did not have insurance at the time of the accident, and obtained a policy after the accident. She then reported that the accident occurred after the policy had been put in force, and she asked the other party to alter the time of the accident to match hers so she could have coverage for the accident.
