A man has been sentenced to twelve months of probation for insurance fraud and ordered to pay $5,163.32 in fines and restitution. The man pled guilty to one misdemeanor count of a fraudulent insurance act and one misdemeanor count of attempted theft. The man tried to add a vehicle to an existing insurance policy after the vehicle had been in an accident so he could then make a claim for those preexisting damages.
