Amount – $13,785.55

A woman has been charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretenses; both charges are considered to be felonies. She claimed that her home had been damaged by lightning and was uninhabitable, and that she needed an extended hotel stay. In actuality, the repairs had been completed and the home had been sold when she made the request for the extended hotel stay.
