A former adjuster was arrested for re-opening previously closed and settled claims and making 1,255 fraudulent payments to roughly 326 co-conspirators for more than $11.6 million. She fabricated claims on auto policies, created fictitious claimants, documented fictitious scenarios, and faked documentation including photos and repair estimates in order to issue payments. She has been arrested on charges of Scheme to Defraud, Grand Theft, and Criminal Use of Personal ID Information. If convicted she faces up to 55 years in prison.
