A former broker was sentenced to four years in prison and five years of mandatory supervision for diverting premium funds received from consumers to his personal account instead of remitting the funds to the insurers. The man also created fraudulent certificates of insurance to deceive his victims into thinking they had insurance. He has been ordered to pay $189, 526 in restitution.
