A man pleaded guilty to two counts of Fraudulent Insurance Submissions and one count of Theft in the 3rd degree after an investigation conducted by the Iowa Insurance Divisions Fraud Bureau. The division received information implicating the man in a number of fraudulent claims across multiple companies. It was determined that he falsified injury reports and documentation in order to gain funds to which he was not entitled. He has received a five-year suspended sentence to be served concurrently with three years of supervised probation with a suspended fine of $1,025 for two of the counts. Additionally, he received a two-year suspended sentence to run concurrently with a suspended fine of $855 for the remaining count, and he was ordered to pay restitution.
