A man claimed that his vehicle had been stolen while he was attending a high school football game and reported it to his insurer. His insurer turned the claim in to the insurance department as suspicious. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the man did not arrive at the football game in the vehicle in question and that he had conspired with another person to move the vehicle to a remote area and set it on fire in hopes of receiving funds from the insurance policy. Both men have been charged with insurance fraud and arson.
