A woman has been charged with insurance fraud and forgery after attempting to defraud a travel insurance company. She had purchased insurance for a family vacation in 2022. Her son contracted COVID-19 and tested negative the day before the trip was to start. The woman altered the medical records to show her son was still sick in order to obtain funds from the travel insurance.
