A vet in Ireland has admitted to four charges related to fraudulent pet insurance claims. Two claims were fictitious and the funds received were diverted into a personal bank account instead of the veterinary practice's account in part to support his gambling habit. The vet admitted that his conduct was dishonest and unprofessional. He agreed to the proposed course of action outlined by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
