Cannabis industry leader Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (Trulieve) is celebrating the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission's (GMCC) grant of a class 1 production license to Trulieve GA, Inc. This license expands Trulieve's reach in the Southeastern United States, adding to a well-established medical cannabis market in Florida.

Medical cannabis patients in Georgia will soon be able to choose among a variety of oral or topical low-THC oils. Trulieve's license allows for five medical cannabis dispensaries, with the possibility of opening more in relation to the number of medical cannabis patients in the state. Construction has begun on an indoor growing plant in Adel, located in southern Georgia, that will also include a processing facility to align with Trulieve's "seed-to-sale" production structure.

Trulieve is also established in the Northeastern and Southwestern United States, with markets in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Those interested in medical cannabis may visit https://www.trulieve.com/ for more information.

Author's Note: Since cannabis is still a schedule 1 substance under federal law, it may not be transported across state lines in interstate commerce. For companies like Trulieve that have bases across the country, it is imperative to incorporate in each state where the company plans to do business so the products may be transported entirely within the state.
