A woman filed a claim with her insurer for a damaged air conditioning unit. She provided the company with an invoice and a picture of the damaged property. Upon investigation, the insurer discovered the invoice had been altered and the photo had been copied from the internet. A warrant for her arrest has been issued for Insurance Fraud and Forgery in the 1st Degree, a felony carrying a penalty of $10,000, up to 10 years in prison, or both.
