Under a CGL 00 01 04 13 form without a professional liability exclusion, a sign manufacturer (Named Insured) hires a subcontractor to design an evacuation route diagram to put on a sign manufactured by the Named Insured in a client's building. Is the Named Insured covered under its CGL policy if there is a bodily injury or property damage claim by a third party alleging the sign diagram was not accurate.

The GL policy will respond to the manufacturer insured's liability for the sign and should cover bodily injury and property damage arising out of the sign under the insured's product-completed operations coverage.

Under the exclusion l. Damage to Your Work, there is an exception for work done on the insured's product by a subcontractor. Therefore, the exclusion will not apply to the inaccurate sign language and there should be coverage.
