Cipriani & Werner filed an insurance coverage lawsuit Wednesday in Georgia Northern District Court on behalf of Cherokee Insurance Company. The suit, against Kenneth S. Nugent PC and Louie Knight, seeks a declaratory judgment against Knight for the reimbursement of $160,498.23 that Cherokee Insurance paid in medical benefits to Knight for an underlying personal injury claim. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00652, Cherokee Insurance Company v. Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C., et al.
