A warrant has been issued for a man charged with eight counts of insurance fraud, eight counts of forgery in the first degree, and four counts of theft by taking due to several suspicious insurance claims he made regarding damage to his vehicle. He submitted the receipts for the alleged repairs to his insurance company for reimbursement. The receipts were determined to be fraudulent after claims investigators discovered the receipts were for a nonexistent repair shop.
