A man was arraigned on four felony counts of identity theft and nine felony counts of forgery after falsifying professional licenses in order to apply affinity discounts to his insureds' policies. Between 2015 and 2020 the man collected, forged and altered professional licenses issued by the California Board of Accountancy, the California Board of Registered Nursing, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and various state universities. He'd then upload the forged documents to the carriers in order to get the discounts applied to his insureds' policies.
