The insured reported his stump grinder had been stolen to police and turned in a claim to his insurance company. The grinder was found when it was taken into a local dealership for servicing. The problem is that the insured had sold the grinder on Facebook, reported it stolen and filed a claim in order to get a new stump grinder. The man is being charged with first-degree larceny, insurance fraud, interfering with police and second-degree falsely reporting an incident. The man was released on $25,000 bond.
