A North Carolina man has been charged with insurance fraud for fraudulently claiming the theft of four fur coats. The fraud was discovered in 2019 when the man listed the coats, valued at $20,000 as stolen. Investigation showed that they had no been stolen. The man's first court appearance is scheduled for November.
