A Houston man submitted a claim to his insurance company because of a leak from a defective water heater. The man claimed damage to personal property and submitted fraudulent documentation for the replacement of several items of personal property totaling more than $136,000. He was indicted on federal violations for transportation of money by fraud. He has agreed to repay the $136,000.
