A mother and son pair have each been arrested on one felony count of insurance fraud after filing a false auto claim and making fraudulent statements. Their Aston Martin was damaged while parked and unoccupied. After a claim with their existing carrier was denied because the vehicle was never added to the policy, the pair obtained insurance with another carrier, and claimed the loss occurred after the inception date of the new policy. Both made false statements to the carrier about the claim.
