Stolen Premiums/Fraudulent Policies – Ohio

An Ohio agent has been sentenced to nine years in prison for stealing more than $1.1 million from clients. He has been ordered to pay $990,027.83 in restitution after pleading guilty to six felony theft charges. Between 2011 and 2018 he withheld, misappropriated or converted more than $1.0 million from at least seventeen clients without their knowledge. He withdrew their funds from his business account and from client annuities, and also submitted false documents to insurers to become the beneficiary of clients' life and annuity policies.
