Oklahoma lawmakers have passed a bill that allows for the coverage of chiropractic treatment in workers' compensation cases.

The bill, S.B. 1375, would amend the Administrative Workers' Compensation Act to allow chiropractic services to the list of medical treatments allowed under the fee schedule of the state, and would authorize licensed chiropractors to the list of medical providers authorized to treat injured workers. The bill would allow injured workers the right to choose their treating chiropractor.

The bill unanimously passed the Senate on March 10 and unanimously passed Oklahoma's House on May 11, 2020. If signed into law, the legislation would be effective November 1, 2020.
