The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) has announced that insurance premium installment payments that are due for March, April, and May for the current policy year may be deferred until June 1, due to hardships associated with the COVID-19 virus.

According to a statement on the deferral, the matter will be reconsidered in June. The three-month deferral is being offered to both public and private employers.

The statement announced that coverage will not be canceled and penalties will not be applied to unpaid amounts due to the pandemic.

Payments due to the BWC during March, April, and May amount to approximately $200 million.
