Generali Global Assistance (GGA), which has developed a proprietary and innovative identity and cyber protection platform, has announced that it has added a self-service fraud alert function to its customer identity protection portal. The portal is called Iris, and the self-service fraud alert is an exciting new product feature.

When a person is flagged with a fraud alert, a notice is placed on their credit report, which instructs creditors to notify that person before opening an account in his or her name. This new feature will enable Iris users to respond quickly to unauthorized and/or fraudulent activity involving their lines of credit or identity.

In the past, if a customer wanted to place a fraud alert on their credit reports, they had to contact GGA's resolution center to connect directly with a credit bureau in order to activate a fraud alert. Now, an alert can be easily activated through the portal.
