South Carolina is the eighth state into which Farmers has expanded. The company has written more than 1 million new policies since 2011, resulting from expansion into states including Florida, Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The company aims to continue expansion up the eastern seaboard.
