Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. has united its U.S.-based inland and ocean marine underwriting teams to form a team it is calling the U.S. Marine Practice. Liberty has named Dan Feige to lead the new unit as chief underwriting officer for marine. Feige has spent time at Liberty Mutual leading the inland marine practice and has also served time in ocean marine leadership and underwriting roles.

Liberty combined the marine teams in order to assist brokers in accessing integrated marine coverages.
