The Institutes have reached an agreement with the International Insurance Society ("IIS") that provides that IIS will become an affiliate of The Institutes.
IIS members include executives from national, regional, and multi-national insurers; reinsurers, brokers, and service providers; and international regulatory authorities and public policy organizations and associations from almost 100 countries.
"Like The Institutes, IIS has a long history of and commitment to educating and empowering risk management and insurance professionals," said Peter L. Miller, the president and chief executive officer of The Institutes. "By joining forces, we can create more opportunities for interaction, discussion, and problem-solving, which in turn will help us tailor our solutions to meet the needs of a rapidly changing industry."
"The Institutes have a stellar reputation as a knowledge leader throughout our industry, and we are excited about this opportunity to leverage their resources to enhance the benefits of IIS membership," said Mike Morrissey, the president and chief executive officer of IIS. "We are best known for our annual Global Insurance Forum, which since 1965 has drawn the top insurance and risk executives from around the world. Our affiliation with The Institutes will help us build on this in-person experience and create year-round, virtual opportunities for networking and discussion among industry leaders."
The IIS's upcoming Global Insurance Forum is scheduled for July 8-11, 2018, in Berlin Germany.
