FM Global has appointed Darren J. Benson as senior vice president, manager of claims. Previously, he served as vice president and manager of the company's chemical operations.
Mr. Benson succeeded Gerry L. Alonso, who was named senior vice president, operations manager, of FM Global's operations in Boston, Massachusetts.
In his new role, Mr. Benson will be responsible for the oversight and management of the company's claims staff and activity worldwide.
Since joining FM Global in 1987 as a loss prevention engineer, Mr. Benson has held a variety of management positions within the organization. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Montana State University.
