Everest Underwriting Partners, a unit of Everest Insurance, has expanding its forest and logging program with underwriting manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Company to include inland marine coverage.
"Logging clients have been asking us for an inland marine solution to protect their equipment from fire, theft, rollovers, and other hazards. We're excited to now offer them this important coverage as part of our package for loggers," said Steve Falecki, vice president of Schinnerer's forest and logging underwriting unit.
Everest said in a statement that the inland marine coverage rounded out the forest and logging program's other insurance offerings, including loggers broad form property damage, commercial auto, and general liability for clients involved in logging, log hauling, and chipping. Inland marine coverage will be available in all states except New York on an admitted basis, the company said.
Commenting on the expansion, Brian Drum, head of Everest Underwriting Partners, said, "We are pleased to work with Schinnerer to offer this additional coverage to meet the complex needs of those in the forest and logging industry."
