The #BoycottNRA Movement has reached the insurance industry as both MetLife and Chubb Limited have ended special arrangements with the National Rifle Association.
Chubb said that it will stop underwriting a National Rifle Association-branded insurance policy for gun owners.
In addition, MetLife ended its discount for NRA members.
In a statement, the NRA said companies that have dropped their discounts exhibited "a shameful display of political and civic cowardice." To be "absolutely clear," the NRA added, "[t]he loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world."
