The Travelers Companies, Inc., has launched Quantum Home 2.0 ("QH2.0"), which it characterized in a statement as "an enhanced homeowners insurance product with tailored pricing and more flexible coverage options, all on simpler policy documents that help customers better understand their insurance."

Travelers said it is offering QH2.0 through an updated platform that allows agents to quote and bind coverage.

"We partnered with our agents to develop QH2.0, and the result is a completely redesigned product that provides greater customization, fewer steps to complete a quote, and simplified customer communications," said Michael Klein, executive vice president, president of personal insurance, and head of enterprise business intelligence and analytics at Travelers. "This new product will increase efficiency for agents while helping them to deliver better service and drive new business."

Travelers said that its new home insurance product included features such as:

- "Decreasing Deductible" and loss forgiveness options that recognize customers for their loyalty;

- New discounts for customers who pay on time and for those with smart-home protective technology, including fire, burglar, and water alarms;

- An enhanced water package that can cover sewer backups and hidden water damage; and

- Equipment breakdown coverage for appliances and water heaters, etc.

QH2.0 is available in Colorado, Oregon, and Wisconsin, with additional states rolling out the product in mid-2018, Travelers said.
