Trident Insurance Group, Inc., based in Dunkirk, Maryland, has hired William (Bill) Sohn to lead its surety underwriting efforts.

In a statement, the company said that Mr. Sohn's industry specific experience, underwriting skills, and relationships would enable Trident to continue expanding its surety offering for small to mid-size construction contractors in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Mr. Sohn's "prior success in the industry brings a wealth of local knowledge to Trident and his relationships with key surety professionals in this region will ensure Trident Insurance Group's continued growth," the company added.
