BETA Healthcare Group has named Corey Grove as senior vice president of insurance operations.

Mr. Grove previously was vice president of underwriting and client services at BETA, which provides professional liability insurance to West Coast hospitals and healthcare facilities as well as workers' compensation coverage for over 40,000 healthcare workers in California.

In his new role, Mr. Grove will oversee all aspects of professional liability claims and underwriting, marketing, and alternative risk and insurance services.

"Corey has demonstrated his ability to manage and lead with a sharp focus on BETA's members, brokers, and staff as we have grown our core business and expanded into new lines and markets," said Tom Wander, BETA's chief executive officer. "He believes strongly in delivering personalized high quality products and services. His additional responsibilities will allow BETA to further integrate functions to increase efficiencies to better serve our internal and external customers."

"It is a real privilege to have the opportunity in this expanded leadership role to continue to deliver and refine BETA's strong line-up of products and industry-leading services," added Mr. Grove. "We are fortunate at BETA to have governing boards and a management team that are focused on providing excellent service and value to our members. I look forward to continuing and, where prudent, expanding BETA's programs that deliver on our service commitment."

Mr. Grove has worked at BETA for more than 22 years, where he has held senior management level positions in both marketing and underwriting. He joined BETA in 1995 and worked as a professional liability representative in the liability claims department for several years before transitioning to a marketing role.

Mr. Grove earned his J.D. from Western State University College of Law and a B.A. from San Diego State University and he holds the chartered property casualty underwriter and associate in risk management insurance designations.
