Agents National Title Insurance Company ("ANTIC"), an Incenter company and provider of residential and commercial title insurance services, has appointed Kevin Thomas as senior vice president, Florida state manager, and counsel.

Mr. Thomas is based in Winter Park, Florida, and is charged with establishing ANTIC's business operations and agency base in the state. Mr. Thomas also will oversee agency operations, production, and underwriting as well as manage all Florida personnel.

"Few know the Florida market as well as Kevin and we are fortunate to have him leading our expansion there," said David Townsend, the president of ANTIC. "Kevin has a proven track record of industry leadership and supporting local title insurance agents with fast, accurate underwriting responses over more than 30 years. Prior to joining ANTIC, Mr. Thomas was senior vice president and southeast regional counsel for AmTrust Title Insurance Company. Prior to this role, he served as vice president and Florida underwriting counsel at Stewart Title and as senior vice president, general counsel, and director of Alliance Title of America, a Florida title insurer owned primarily by title agents until its acquisition in 2003.

Mr. Thomas currently serves as chair of the Florida Land Title Association's insurers section, is the incoming Florida Land Title president, and is a member of the Florida Bar, and he has lectured on title insurance and real property law.

He holds a J.D. from the University of Baltimore and a B.A. in foreign service and international politics from Pennsylvania State University.
