Steve Blakey has been named president and chief executive officer of Starr Insurance Holdings.

"We are pleased to introduce Steve as our new company president. With over 35 years of experience, including establishing Starr's presence in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe as well as making Starr one of the leading providers of aviation and aerospace insurance in the world, Steve is uniquely qualified to lead the company going forward," stated Maurice R. Greenberg, the chairman of Starr Companies.

Mr. Blakey replaced Chuck Dangelo, who announced his retirement. "After 46 years in the insurance industry, we would like to thank Chuck for his contributions to our company and industry. He has been instrumental in leading Starr's growth and we wish him well in his retirement," Mr. Greenberg said.
