Our insured is covered under an HO 3 policy form. Coverage C – Personal Property states the following under the theft peril: This peril does not include loss caused by theft that occurs off the "residence premises" of watercraft of all types, and their furnishings, equipment, and outboard engines or motors.

 "Residence premises" is defined as:

 a.The one-or two-family dwelling where you reside in at least one of the family units; or

b.That part of any other building where you reside;

and which is shown as the "residence premises" in the Declarations. "Residence premises" also includes other structures and grounds at that location.

 The insured's boat was at his lake lot location. (Liability coverage is extended to this location from his HO policy. The trailer house at this location is insured with a different company than the HO policy). Numerous items were stolen from the boat, including rods, fishing tackle, trolling motors, electronic depth/fish finders. We consider the trolling motors and electronic depth/fish finders to be furnishing or equipment of the watercraft. Does coverage exist for those items if the boat was not at the insured's primary residence, or, because liability was extended to the lake location is it considered a "residence premises"?

There is no coverage as the policy is specific as to where the boat must be in order for property to be covered; an extension of liability does not necessarily lead to an extension of property damage coverage.
