All Named Insureds Not Required to Sign Proof of Loss
June 6, 2011
Can an insurer reject a proof of loss because it is signed by one, but not all, named insureds?

The ISO CP 00 10 requires a signed, sworn proof of loss but does not specify that all named insureds must sign it. If your policy wording is different than that form and requires all signatures, an insurer could reject it. Otherwise, that requirement is not in the policy.
