Marketing strategies are as individual and unique as the agencies implementing them, but they all share is the goal of bringing awareness to their business and brand and, in turn, drawing in new business. Even insurance agents with an established book of business must stay connected with their customers and community in order to sustain, and build their clientele.

Some essential steps agents can take to successfully market their agency, according to Insureon, include:

  • Create a well-designed website with a URL that's easy to remember.
  • Keep in mind that many people access the internet from their phones, so be sure your website is mobile-friendly.
  • Use social media – LinkedIn, in particular – for prospecting commercial clients.
  • Create online slideshows, podcast and webinars to show customers the products you offer.
  • Purchase online ad space, but try to avoid using pop-up ads or other methods that may annoy viewers.
