MetLifehas launched two InsurTech investment programs for start-upcompanies: MetLife DigitalVentures and MetLife DigitalAccelerator powered by Techstars. Both programs will be led under theumbrella of MetLife's Chief Digital Office. "The rise ofglobalization, changing consumer demographics and an exponentialgrowth in technology are factors impacting all industries," MartyLippert, executive vice president and head of MetLife GlobalTechnology & Operations, said in a statement. "MetLife is delivering ona strategy aimed at capturing this opportunity."

Based in Atlanta, the claims management organization Crawford &Company recently announced its investment in a softwaresolution designed to assist independent contractors. The softwareplatform, called Crawford Compliance, leverages mobile, cloud-basedtechnology to digitalize existing manual processes associated withcontractor management. Crawford Compliance joins WeGoLookas the company's newest InsurTech investments.

Indiumhas announces the availability of automated upload capabilities foragents through their relationship with Appulate. Theautomation will give agents the ability to bridge ACORD and otherdata directly from their agency management systems to expedite thesubmission and quoting process.

ConveloInsurance Group also has selected Appulate to automate anddistribute their insurance programs. Convelo, a newly formed MGUled by several industry veterans, is focused on combining thelatest technology with customized insurance products andservices.

SIUPREM,based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has chosen the integrated One, Inc.ProcessOne® payment processing solution and ContactOne® digitalengagement solution. ProcessOne will replace the current legacypayment processing vendor with a SIUPREM-branded portal, deliveringa seamless end user experience. In addition, ProcessOne provides amodern digital footprint for SIUPREM, including integration withtheir mobile app and a full IVR system for payments by phone.

NatixisAssurances has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter® as its platform forclaims management. The insurer has also chosen the GuidewireDigital application, CustomerEngage Account Management, to boostthe digital experience of its customers. Capgemini, a global leaderin consulting, technology, and outsourcing services, and aGuidewire PartnerConnect® Premier Consultingalliance member, has been chosen to manage the systemintegration.

SapiensInternational Corporation has announced that Equitable Life ofCanada recently selected LifeSuite®, a web-based automatedinsurance underwriting and new business case managementsystem from Sapiens' fully owned subsidiary, StoneRiver,Inc.
