Who were the respondents to the NU/PIA Independent Agent Survey? Herewe break them down by the numbers.
|Experience was definitely a factor among those who responded tothe survey, with 91.7 percent saying they have been in the P&Cinsurance industry for more than 15 years. Only 23 percentresponded that they have been in the industry for less than fiveyears.

|The majority of agents (33.8 percent) said they are between theages of 50-59, and the smallest percentage (3.2 percent) said theyare between the ages of 30-39. Not surprisingly, most respondents(62.7 percent) said they are agency owners/principals.
