The Hawaii Insurance Division published a memorandum announcing a hurricane data call. All insurers who currently write insurance in the residential hurricane market or who wrote at any time in the last fifteen years are required to respond to the data call.
The purpose of the data call is to capture state-specific information on hurricane coverage, since that coverage is particularly important for Hawaii homeowners. The commissioner is authorized under the Hawaii Revised Statutes to investigate the adequacy of rates and compliance with rate regulation.
The data call worksheet will be kept confidential. The data call should be submitted to [email protected] by December 31, 2026, with the subject line "2025 Hurricane Data Call".
