The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation published an updated table showing the state's average weekly wage and the maximum and minimum weekly benefit allowed under the Texas Workers' Compensation Act.
For fiscal year 2027, which runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, the state average weekly wage is $1,314.32.
The temporary income benefits weekly minimum is $197, and the max is $1,314.
The impairment income benefits weekly minimum is $197, and the max is $920.
There is no supplemental income benefits weekly minimum, and the max is $920.
The lifetime income benefits weekly minimum is $197, and the max is $1,314.
Finally, there is no death benefits weekly minimum, and the max is $1,314.
All of the amounts have been increased from the 2026 fiscal year amounts, in keeping with the increase in the state average weekly wage. The changes are effective October 1, 2026.
