The Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) published a press release announcing another round of the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes program.

The program provides grants of up to $10,000 to construct and fortify homes, providing protection against tornadoes, windstorms, and hail. The grants help homeowners meet the safety standards outlined by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS).

The next round will be open to eligible homeowners statewide. Homeowners must have a homestead exemption on file with the Department to qualify.

Applications open at 12 p.m. CT on Monday, July 13, 2026.
