Sean Genden has joined The Hartford as head of international insurance.
He is based in London and reports to the head of the company's global specialty lines, Vince Tizzio.
"Sean is a proven international insurance leader who has built a strong reputation in the industry and with our partner, Lloyd's of London," said Mr. Tizzio. "His experience driving profitable business growth while balancing appropriate risk-taking will be key as we fully integrate this business, which is part of the recent acquisition of Navigators, with The Hartford and build our long-term international strategy."
Prior to joining The Hartford, Mr. Genden held a number of roles at Travelers' Insurance including chief executive officer of its Lloyd's managing agency and chief executive officer of the U.K. domiciled insurance company.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut.
