Larry Spicer has joined the leadership team of Jewelers Mutual Group, assuming the role of vice president of loss prevention and risk management services as David Sexton prepares for retirement at the end of the year after 39 years with Jewelers Mutual, the company said in a statement.
Mr. Spicer has over 20 years' experience as a security professional, having held positions at Aurora Healthcare, Home Depot, and Kohl's.
Most recently he was the director of public safety at Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of security strategies and procedures to safeguard over 70,000 team members.
Jewelers Mutual said that Mr. Spicer will be working with Mr. Sexton and other members of the Jewelers Mutual leadership team as he becomes acclimated to the jewelry industry and the challenges it faces.
Jewelers Mutual was founded in 1913 by a group of Wisconsin jewelers to meet their insurance needs. It now offers products and services nationwide and throughout Canada.
