AXA XL has promoted Charlotte Wilson to global head of portfolio solutions, with responsibility for developing and executing the global strategy for portfolio solutions.
Ms. Wilson, based in London, is part of Philippe Gouraud's global strategic distribution team.
In a statement, AXA XL explained that portfolio solutions continues to be a key focus for the company as increasingly brokers are looking to group a set of similar risks together and place them with a selected panel of insurers following a market tender process.
Ms. Wilson has 17 years' experience in insurance, having joined Sedgwick Insurance Brokers in 1996 as a graduate trainee. She went on to become a terrorism and political risk insurance broker, leaving Sedgwick (now Marsh) in 2002 to join Catlin Underwriting Agencies as an underwriting assistant in the fine art and specie team. Most recently, as underwriting manager, Ms. Wilson has overseen the continued growth of business at AXA XL. Over the coming months, Ms. Wilson will work to ensure a smooth handover and transition of her current responsibilities and client relationships, AXA XL said.
