Cheryl Yakey has joined the Chicago office of Wilson Elser as a partner.
Ms. Yakey is a 30-year veteran of the insurance legal and regulatory industry.
Most recently, Ms. Yakey was senior regulatory counsel at Kemper Corporation and before that she worked in in-house counsel positions at Genworth Financial and AIG. She also served on the Chicago Foundation for Women's Grantmaking Review and Site Visit Committee, and is a member of the Executives' Club of Chicago.
Ms. Yakey graduated with a B.A. from Hamilton College (1983) and a J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law (1990), where she was a member of the law review and helped establish the transnational law and contemporary problems law journal.

Victoria Prussen Spears is senior vice president of Meyerowitz Communications Inc., a law firm marketing communications consulting company. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Spears was an attorney at a leading New York City law firm before joining Meyerowitz Communications.
