Tampa-based American Integrity Insurance Company now is offering an umbrella policy for Florida consumers and property insurance policyholders.

According to the company, the policy will provide policyholders with at least $1 million in coverage on top of their underlying policy limits, with possible available limits up to $5 million.

“If liability coverage isn't enough to pay for the damages of an accident caused by the policyholder or a visitor's injuries to a home, a personal umbrella insurance policy kicks in right where an underlying policy's coverage stops,” said Danny Pringle, director of product management at the insurer.

American Integrity said in a statement that its umbrella policy is available to customers who have a primary residence insured with American Integrity, with some restrictions. Customers must use the same agent for their home, auto, and umbrella policies.

“We're pleased to offer umbrella coverage and, ultimately, peace of mind for what everyone works so hard for: their nest egg and their future,” said Jon Ritchie, senior vice president at American Integrity.

American Integrity agents will begin quoting and binding this coverage for new and existing policyholders immediately.
