Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (“BHSI”) has introduced architects and engineers (“A&E”) professional liability insurance in the United States.

The policy “responds to a variety of exposures facing the design community, including cyber and LEED certification exposures, and it rewards our customers for strong risk management practices,” said Joe Schrancz, the vice president and head of A&E professional liability at BHSI. “Along with contemporary worldwide coverage, design professionals gain the peace of mind that comes with our experienced A&E claims team that is committed to optimizing coverage for our customers.”

“Our industry experience and proactive approach to pre-claims, claims, risk management, and loss prevention allow us to foster collaborative relationships with our policyholders and drive positive claim outcomes,” said Kevin McGrath, the vice president of A&E claims at BHSI.

Limits up to $25 million are available. Coverage can be underwritten on an admitted or non-admitted basis.
