Suppose a trial judge in an insurance coverage case has been personally involved in a similar matter? Should the judge disclose that involvement to the parties litigating in that judge's courtroom? The Montana Supreme Court recently issued a decision on this issue.

Steven A. Meyerowitz, the Director of FC&S Legal and the Editor-in-Chief of its flagship publication, the Insurance Coverage Law Report, has written a Focus column on the decision, “When Should a Trial Judge in a Coverage Case Disclose Personal Involvement in a Similar Matter?,” that was published in the Summer 2016 issue of the Insurance Coverage Law Report.
