Liberty International Underwriters (“LIU”), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has promoted Simon White to senior vice president of its privacy, professional, and technology (“PP&T”) product line.

Mr. White will have responsibility for all of LIU's U.S. PP&T, cyber, and miscellaneous professional E&O business and will hold underwriting oversight of these products nationwide. He will be based in New York and report directly to LIU's executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of U.S. specialty casualty, Carl Pursiano.

“With cyber insurance growth on the rise, Simon's leadership qualities and technical skills are the right fit for this role,” said Mr. Pursiano. “I look forward to working with him as he and his team continue to offer innovative coverages that support LIU's leading position in the cyber market.”

Mr. White joined LIU in 2014 after nearly 20 years as a broker with Aon and Marsh, where he held various senior client advisory and transaction specialist roles working on behalf of large professional service firms and Fortune 500 companies.

“Computer hacking has become an unrelenting threat for companies large and small,” said Mr. White. “We offer brokers a strong, experienced team that will give their clients a flexible policy tailored to help minimize the risks surrounding technology errors and omissions as well as data privacy breaches. I am excited to lead this team and work with them to develop new products and services that meet the ever-changing cyber landscape.”
